An avid chamber musician, Leigh has performed all over the United States as well as in the Netherlands, Germany, and the Czech Republic with various chamber groups and as a soloist. She has also attended the Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival in Burlington, Vermont, where she was part of a chamber music community outreach program called WiReLESS, directed by violinist Joel Lambdin, in 2011. Leigh has been a part of solo and chamber master classes with the Emerson String Quartet, violinist Timothy Fain, and cellist Bernard Greenhouse. Leigh recently formed a chamber group in Austin, TX with her fellow SSOA teachers Lindsay Klecka and Daniel Gee, as well as local cellist Jon Carbin. The yet-to-be-named ensemble has performed in the University of Texas at Austin's "Excessive Noise" concert series as well as in a "Gamma UT" event featuring pieces written by young composers from all over the world.

Leigh is also a player and promoter of non-classical music, and has played with an improv jazz outfit called “The Friedrichs”, hailing from North Carolina, as well as the touring folk rock band “Small Town Gossip”. She toured with Texas Country band "The Taylor Hodak Band", and has enjoyed performing and recording as a freelance fiddle player around Austin, Texas. Most recently, Leigh performed with singer songwriter Ryan O'Neal, aka Sleeping at Last, of Grey's Anatomy and Twilight fame, and Latin music star Marco Antonio Solis.

Leigh has taught violin as well as ear training and music theory as a member of NYU’s adjunct faculty and at music companies and privately since 2003. She is registered to teach the Suzuki Method of Violin (Books 1-6 and Book 8) through the Suzuki Association of the Americas, training with Judy Offman, Ed Kreitman, Linda Fiore, Nancy Lokken, Mark Mutter, and Teri Einfeldt. Leigh co-owns and co-directs Suzuki Strings of Austin, a program with over 60 students, with Daniel Gee, Lindsay Klecka, and Connor Bell. SSOA teaches a true Suzuki method approach to violin and viola, including weekly private lessons, group lessons, workshops and performances. Leigh maintains a studio of 25 private Suzuki students, and also teaches 30 private students in the Round Rock Independent School District.

When Leigh is not performing and teaching, her passions are drawing, painting, movies, making home improvements, learning to cook, tattoo art, knitting, visiting her family, reading, riding motorcycles, Star Wars, petting animals, eating good food, listening to music, trying new nail polish colors, studying the craft of teaching young children, Disney, traveling all over the world, designing and collecting vinyls, crafting, fashion magazines and hanging out with her partner, Jason, their cats, Greydog and Mystery, and their flock of chickens.
